Jane Leggiero Baroque cellist Jane Leggiero is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. She studied baroque cello and gamba with Catherina Meints at Oberlin College, and continues her studies at Boston University with Sarah Freiberg Ellison. She has performed with the Oberlin Baroque Orchestra, Seraphic Fire (Miami), La Follia Austin Baroque, the St. Cecelia Baroque Festival Orchestra (Austin), the Amherst Early Music Festival Opera Orchestra, and L'Academie (Boston). She has performed as a soloist with the Boston University Baroque Orchestra and Cambridge Concentus. An avid chamber musician, she has performed with the ensembles Les Pommes et Les Roses (Boston), and Rossignol (Boston and Cleveland). As a gambist, she has performed with Long and Away: A Consort of Viols (Boston) and the Boston University Consort of Viols, and is a founding member of Consort Conspiracy. She is currently also pursuing a degree in musicology at Boston University. |
