Jeanine Krause 
Oboe
Praised as “delightful and so refreshing” (Boston Musical Intelligencer) Jeanine Krause’s performance on oboes and recorders may be heard in numerous orchestras in Germany including Frankfurter Opern- und Museumsorchester, Collegium Musicum Stuttgart and Mannheimer Hofkapelle, and she concertizes worldwide with such ensembles as Cambridge Concentus and Handel & Haydn Society (Boston) The Taverner Players (London), Kunitachi Bach Collegium (Tokyo), Ensemble Cristofori (France), Tiepolo Ensemble (Würzburg/Cape Town) and recently performed in the debut of the Boston Early Music Festival Oboe Band, Symphonie des Dragons with Gonzalo X. Ruiz. In 2002 she founded the recorder quartet, Happenstance, which explores music of all eras and commissions new works. Her Baroque chamber ensemble, The Sprightly Companions toured the US in 2009. She teaches and serves as chair of the winds department at the Musikschule Hofheim where her students are Jugend musiziert prize winners. Jeanine holds degrees from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Peter-Cornelius-Konservatorium in Mainz and recently began doctoral work at Boston University. Born in the USA, Jeanine lives in Germany with her husband and son.
