Luke Short Timpanist and percussionist, Luke Short, is originally from Teaneck, New Jersey. He began playing percussion at the age of nine and, through middle and high school, studied with Gary Van Dyke of William Paterson University and the New Jersey Percussion Ensemble. Luke discovered his love for Classical music at the New England Music Camp in Sydney, Maine - where he studied with timpanists Bob Adamcik of the Knoxville Symphony and Bill Wozniak, formerly of the New World Symphony. Luke is pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Music Performance at Boston University where he studies with Sam Solomon and Tim Genis, the timpanist of the Boston Symphony. |
